Which CarePlus plan doesn’t cover prescription drugs?

CareSalute (HMO) does not include prescription drug coverage. The CareSalute plan is available in all CarePlus service areas.

Who is a good fit for this plan?

Our CareSalute plan without prescription drug coverage is designed for people who may have other types of prescription drug coverage, such as through the Veteran’s Administration.

If you are interested in keeping your prescription drug coverage but want the extra benefits and trusted doctors of a CarePlus plan, CareSalute may be right for you. 

If you are new to Medicare or qualify for a special enrollment period, you may be able to enroll today.

Which CarePlus plans include prescription drug coverage

All CarePlus plans include prescription drug coverage except for CareSalute.

  • Who are Medicare Advantage prescription drug (MAPD) plans for?

    Medicare beneficiaries who want the convenience of having all their benefits covered under a single plan may benefit from enrolling in a MAPD plan. In addition to prescription drug coverage, CarePlus MAPD plans include medical and hospital coverage as well as extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, fitness and more.

     

  • Which plan covers the medications I need?

    When choosing a health plan, this is one of the most important questions to ask. 

    If you are considering a certain CarePlus plan, you can look at its Prescription Drug Guide (also known as a formulary) to check if your medications are covered and at what cost-sharing tier (so you know what your cost will be). 

    Sometimes it can be helpful, convenient, and reassuring to talk to an expert and learn which plans cover the medications you take. Please don’t hesitate to call our licensed CarePlus sales agents for one-on-one support. Be sure to have a list of your medications handy.
