Most CarePlus plans include prescription drug coverage that helps pay for your medicine. Depending on if you have another type of prescription drug coverage, you may want to explore our plans that don’t include prescription drug coverage.

Which CarePlus plan doesn’t cover prescription drugs?


CareSalute (HMO) does not include prescription drug coverage. For 2025, it is available in the Orlando, Tampa, Daytona, and Treasure Coast areas as well as Broward and Palm Beach counties. For 2026, the CareSalute plan is available in all CarePlus service areas.

Who is a good fit for this plan?

Our CareSalute plan without prescription drug coverage is designed for people who may have the option to  keep certain other types of prescription drug coverage such as coverage through the Veteran’s Administration.

If you are interested in keeping your prescription drug coverage but want the extra benefits and trusted doctors of a CarePlus plan, CareSalute may be right for you. 

If you are new to Medicare or qualify for a special enrollment period, you may be able to enroll today.
