Medicare savings programs

If you meet certain income requirements, the following state programs may  help pay for all or part of your Medicare Parts A (hospital) and B (medical) premiums, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.

Low-Income Subsidy (LIS), also known as Extra help

If you qualify, this program may help pay for Medicare Part D prescription drug costs such as your premium, deductible, coinsurance and copayments.

How much Extra Help you receive depends on your income compared to the Federal Poverty Level and resource limitations set by the Social Security Act.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits
