HMO plans generally focus on preventive care and try to keep costs low by using a network of trusted healthcare providers. While all CarePlus plans are Medicare Advantage HMO plans, not all HMO plans are the same. Review your different plan options below to help determine the right plan for you.
Many CarePlus plans include a Part B premium reduction benefit, also known as the giveback benefit. With the giveback benefit, you’ll pay less each month for your Part B premium. If you pay your Part B premium through Social Security, having the giveback benefit means less money will be taken out of your Social Security check, meaning more money in your pocket. If you pay your Part B premium to Medicare, your monthly payment to Medicare would be reduced.
Certain CarePlus plans have different allowance benefits that give you spending power. Look for CarePlus plans that include an over-the-counter (OTC) product allowance or CareEssentials Allowance. You can even use the CareEssentials Allowance for groceries.

CarePlus is also a Dual Eligible Special Needs HMO SNP plan with a Medicare contract and a contract with the Florida Medicaid Program. Enrollment in any CarePlus plan depends on contract renewal.
The Part B Premium Reduction Benefit pays part or all of your Part B premium and the amount may change based on the amount you pay for Part B. The CareEssentials Allowance may not be combined with any other allowance benefits nor used to purchase Medicare-covered prescriptions or services, nor converted to cash.
